With "smart access memory" it is just another entry in the now long list of things were AMD first claims to have invented something new - only for the press taking weeks to realise AMD just made their own proprietory implementation of an already existing open standard.

Back in the day when ham radio wasn't _just_ a bunch of old farts, we had ways of dealing with people who could not behave in a civil manner. One of them was "cable pinning" their antenna. This consisted of shoving pins through the cable to short it out, and then trimming off the ends so they can't be seen. This is done multiple times. The next time they hit the button to transmit, they'll let the magic smoke out. It might take something a bit more overt than pinning a cable, but I am of the opinion that damaging someone's equipment to stop an attack on your infrastructure is absolutely ethical. If they are an innocent party who has had their gear hijacked, perhaps that will be the end of their involvement. If not, repeat visits may be required. If your router is busy blowing up the Internet because it is pwn3d, tough luck over the financial cost. You didn't secure it, and it got weaponized. Now it must be destroyed to protect everyone else.

I actually have enjoyed all the episodes of Mandalorian. I like how they aren't rushing things. Telling a story especially of someone's life isn't just about drama, excitement, and action. It is about the small things that give that character believability as well as the simple and mundane things that made that character who they are. Maybe it is a ""Manda-snorian" for the twilight or hunger games generation, lol. I'm from the Interview with the Vampire and Blade Runner generation.
